I did this SBC in hopes that he would get more informs throughout FIFA to make his card more and more useable however after deciding to stick him in my team and try him out I can tell you hes worth every coin of the 20K SBC price and is 100% ready for FUT CHAMPS! Everything from the passing, shooting and dribbling on this card is perfect matched with his medium/medium workrates it makes him one of the best CAMS in the Premier League. Although his pace and acceleration is very low the dribbling helps to allow James to take it past defenders with ease and score a goal or play that killer pass. He has a wand of a left foot, every shot absolutely flies in due to his shot power and he still somehow finds a way to look good whilst smashing one top bins. I'm really looking forward to this card getting some well deserved upgrades. Only problem is he plays for Everton

PACE- nope, even a CB is faster but oh wellll

SHOOTING- ngl that's kind of OP, 88 shooting and we're just a week into FUT 21! He's gonna be OP with that, except the 2*WF kills any chance from his right side:(

DRIBBLING- 4*SM, 5'11 and 88 dribbling is a match made in heaven.. go on, dribble past his CBs and lob it for a cheeky goal

PASSING- 88 passing for a 20K card? Yes please, lets go. 85 Short Passing and 83 Long Passing will make him a deadly CM

PHYSICALITY- Nope, moving on, although i doubt how far one goes with 67 STAMINA xD :)

DEFENDING- abysmal but whadya except?

Hi guys, this is my first ever review on this site so hopefully it isn't too bad

I think the first thing you see when you look at this card automatically you're drawn towards the pace, which to be fair is shocking and there's no getting away from that. However the other thing that stands out on the card is the triple 88 for shooting/dribbling/passing. And as for the defending and physical, it isn't overly important for his role (in my team at least anyway)

So, I play J-Rod as a striker along with Richarlison, with Zaha and Pepe on the wings (4-2-4). I have Ricy deployed to get in behind, and J as target man, to get the ball to his feet and play in Ricky. This system works fantastic, when they are playing one-twos in and around the box no defender stands a chance. J's dribbling is exceptional which means you can beat pacey defenders without having the 90+ pace of 99% forwards you come up against.

As for J-Rod's shooting, fuck me it is downright disgusting. if you're in the box and you're on his left peg, you're pretty much guranteed a goal, finesse or driven, he can do the lot. Not much more to say tbh, incredible shooting. Same goes for outside the box shots and free kicks.

Passing is another great part of J's game, as he is often required in my team to spray the ball in behind to the wingers and more often, Ricky to get in behind. Which usually he does with ease

Overall, i'm very very pleased that I completed this SBC, even though its expired, i would definitely recommend getting his IF or any future IFs and play him centrally

I decided to pick this guy up for free by using players I already had and putting them into a relatively well priced sbc especially since I think he will nab 1 or 2 more informs. I play him as a 3 with Richarlison and POTM Calvert Lewin in front of him in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation and he works so well in-game, he can move the ball around and get a good pass away. The 2 star weak-foot isn't to worry about as he is great as it is. However engine chemistry style is needed to boost the pace that little bit more as well as to get the agility and balance to a great level.
